With spring finally making its way to stay in Canada, we are more than ready for some bright sunshine! There are plenty of outdoor activities to get excited about, so it is essential to restart great habits like using sunscreen and drinking plenty of water to help prevent heat-related illnesses. As we get even more active, keep these precautions in mind for outdoor safety:
- Tune up your bike before your first ride and remember to always wear a helmet when you go cycling.
- Wear the appropriate footwear and protective gear for all sporting activities.
- Always be aware of your surroundings.
The Canada Safety Council also held a Summer Safety Week (May 1-7) educating the public about potential health concerns during summers. For more tips to help you and your loved ones, visit Canada Safety Council.
Just a reminder, Victoria Day is on May 21st and we hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day this last weekend!
Have a cheerful month!
